Well, remember my lung test. I got the results a while ago. Guess what? I have damaged lungs!
They have changed my asthma meds. I was on Flixotide, low dose. I've been bumped up to Seretide. My brother Robert was put on Seretide when he went to hospital 3 times in one year with asthma attacks.
My Seretide is darker than his ever was. I beat him. It even has a counter so I know how far through it I am, so I don't run out. The counter is WAY COOL.
It did however take a LONG time to get to me. My lung test was ages ago. And I literally got the meds yesterday. And I got them the working day after I got the prescription. (Would have got them Sat, but I was sick and couldn't breathe properly - ironic). Which meant I was about three weeks without meds as my Flixotide finished and it took them forever to send me the presciption.
Please all pray that the new meds are helpful for me.

well, you survived didn't you?
Do you WANT me to punch you again?
Hope you get well soon..
hey, I was trying to be positive! humph, I get no credit around here.
On a slightly more serious note, Are the medications just supposed to help with symptoms or are they actually supposed to help your lungs regenerate?
Someone who lives with me says, "Joab, you're an idiot. Are you a scientist or what? What do you think? The medication is spraying stem cells down her lungs?"
I think that means that she doesn't think that it is going to heal my lungs.
I was never told that anything is going to actually heal my lungs. In fact, when I had my x-ray after the pneumonia last year, they stressed to me that there wasn't really anything they can do to make my lungs better.
Mor on the downside - about three days of having the meds, and I've had to take a day and a half off because of dizzy spells. And as I was eating, it probably wasn't food related.
Oh well... day off!
Apparently having dizzy spells around small children is a bad thing...
Probably just worried that the fat girl is going to squash the poor kids.
Steph, just so you realise this, I know I am not fat. But Joab said I was. He was joking, so you don't need to kill him. Though I would understand if you choose to.
Dear Joab,
I'm really sorry for calling you an idiot. Please be reassured that after Sam edited and abridged what I really said, I now come across even more idiotic.
For anyone else I insult or offend, I'm sorry. I'm a dork.
Love Kallie
Lol, it's ok Kallie. It was a formality. *shrugs* who knew if they invented spray on steroids =P
We probably WILL get spray on stem cells eventually... heh.
Steph, please don't kill me, who else would bother Sam? (wait... there's alot of people...) Hmm, I need a better reason... AHA! Who else would stop Sam eating strawberries and getting alergic reactions?
Sam - I am really glad you got the results. Even though you pretty much knew that was the case, having confirmation is still good. I hope they can work out something with the medication, even if it only leads to partial improvement.
Joab - I am not going to kill you. I completely ignore all Samantha's death threats and instructions to kill people. We all know that underneath the bluster there is a sweet person in there somewhere...
Steph
Oh - and Joab, I completely commend your efforts in stopping Samantha from eating strawberries. That is a act deserving of a medal - not death.
Steph
I am NOT sweet. Not even deep, deep down.
And Steph, he told me I was FAT. FAT!
